Sometimes I start to get in a bit of a rut with my photography and I look for ways to mix it up a bit. It doesn't always have to be something crazy, sometimes it’s really simple. A couple days ago I decided to shoot in square format for a bit. It was actually quite a bit more difficult than I thought it would be. Honestly I am not super stoked on any of these pictures but it was a fun experiment and I will play around with it some more for sure.
Street photography is weird. At first you think you can just go out and do it, but pretty quickly you realize it takes a lot of practice to get good at. Thats where I am at now, I am am just trying to consistently go out and practice. I try not to go in with any expectations of good shots, I just grab my camera and go and practice. Some are good, and some suck.
Sometimes I shoot stuff that just doesn’t quite fit in to a single blog post. These are those images.
I had a break from work and decided to take go for a little walk with my XPro-2. I walked a bit of the Cherry Creek Trail for the first time which was surprisingly pretty. The city is such an endlessly visually stimulating place, almost overwhelming sometimes.

I had a couple extra minutes traveling through Lafeyette Colorado a couple weeks ago and I decided to walk around and try to make some images. Its a super cute little town just outside of Denver. I would love to go back and try a couple of the restaurants sometime.
On a side note, due to the fires in California, we have had one of the haziest summers I can remember. You can kinda see the effects in these pictures. All the light has a hazy, warm tone to it. It has been weird. I miss the blue skies, but my state isn't burning so I can't complain.
